HIGHLY EXPERIENCED FOUNDERS
That is why, in 2013, three female chiropractors from Norway, each with many thousand hours of experience treating pregnant women and women with newborn babies, founded bbhugme AS.
The three co-founders were already successful entrepreneurs. Each having previously run their own private chiropractic clinic for years, before partnering up to start Bekken & Barn, a chain of chiropractic clinics specialized in treating pregnant women, babies and children.
DESIGNED FOR A GOOD PREGNANCY
The experienced founding team got together with the award-winning designers at K8 Industrialdesign to design the bbhugme pillow.
The design was inspired in part by the chiropractors' own need to position their pregnant patients properly during their treatment, and in part by their patients' need for a pillow that could help them find comfortable positions for sitting, sleeping and nursing their newborns.
Sales kicked off in the summer of 2014. It took almost a year to sell the first 1000 pillows. But as word spread, sales sped up, and the next thousand took just over four months.
Then, the milestones started falling. Over the next months, sales doubled, tripled and quadrupled.
The bbhugme pillow now sells in stores and chiropractor clinics all over Scandinavia, as well as online, with distribution to every corner of Europe.

This is the logo of bbhugme in two colors, gray (Pantone 442) and orange (Pantone 7417).
It only exists one composition of the logo, horizontally, that should always be used.
The logo should not be modified and the elements of the logo shoud not act alone, or in other compositions than those shown.
The color palette has been developed to enhance the visual identity. Consistent use of the color palette helps achieve recognition and a consistent expression.
Only the colors in this palette can be used. The colors should preferably be used in 100%, but some raster is allowed in cases where it is necessary.
The additional color palette increase variety and strengthens the profile further and should be used to complement the main colors.
